New SPEDION sales office in Austria

SPEDION customers in Austria now have a local contact person! Heading up our new sales office in Vienna is Ernst Schmidt—our new area sales manager. Since 1 February 2022, he has been our local contact for everything related to our truck telematics solution, the SPEDION App. Born in Vienna, he has over 25 years of experience in the telematics market. After obtaining his mechanical engineering degree, his first job was designing and implementing various types of refuelling systems. However, since 1994, he has built a career marketing telematics products for the transport sector. After working for manufacturers of such products in Austria, the Netherlands and Germany, which included 15 years in management positions, Ernst Schmidt is now working for SPEDION.
A passionate sales professional and devoted Vienna fan, he also brings to SPEDION a keen appreciation for the arts. In his free time, he enjoys attending the opera and musicals, art exhibitions, museums and other cultural events, of which the Austrian capital has plenty to offer. And to unwind, he enjoys running or reading a crime novel or thriller.
