"As an international freight forwarding company specialising in European overland transport, we depend on reliable data. Our requirement for a new telematics system was to know at all times what services each of our 49 lorry drivers has already provided and can still provide, as well as the exact location and route control.
The Messages tool enables us to communicate the latest information or changes to drivers without them having to make a phone call. This saves time and effort. Thanks to the connection to the fleet management software, entire routes with navigation stops can be transmitted directly. We use the lane analysis and ECO analysis to optimise the driving style, provide important driver information on the tablet with the document management and have this documented by signature if needed. We also use the Tasks feature to query checklists and document the query. With the remote download, the driving times are automatically downloaded and archived on the ZAARC system. The corresponding reports are imported directly into Excel via the Minimum Wage Report feature and processed further.
Our drivers appreciate the clear overview of their driving and rest times and, above all, their remaining driving time. We are also satisfied with the navigation - POIs are quicker to find and the PTV navigation makes route guidance easier. Actions are triggered when geo-fence areas have been reached.
