„Fichtl Transportlogistik GmbH & Co. KG has been working with SPEDION since December 2014. Switching to the telematics app was an important step for our company in order to bring more flexibility and clarity to our freight forwarding processes and ensure that we are fully prepared for the requirements of the future.
A major advantage for us is that the app can be used on commercially available tablets - this keeps investment costs to a minimum and the drivers are generally already familiar with the operation of the mobile end devices. For our colleagues behind the wheel, the simplified communication with the dispatcher makes their work much easier, which in turn contributes to their safety and saves a lot of time.
The dispatchers also benefit from being able to reach the drivers safely without disruptive phone calls. Another plus is the good overview of the vehicle data (driving and rest times) and the FMS data, which can be transmitted and analysed immediately using the app.
