For drivers whose roster means they will spend Christmas in the truck, the DocStop initiative will bring them something special again this year. Since 2007, this initiative for the medical care of professional drivers has ensured that more than 700 doctors and clinics all over Germany are able to provide a comprehensive range of outpatient care for drivers – voluntarily and free of charge. On December 25-26, on the motorways around Oldenburg, Münster, Frankfurt and Stuttgart, teams from the initiative will distribute gift bags filled with Christmas treats, and bring a little Christmas cheer into the cabins of the stranded truckers.
