Since it was established in March 2003, SPEDION GmbH has gained a wide reputation for high-performance telematics systems that utilise the power of digitisation to increase work process efficiency in the transport industry. These innovative, easy-to-use telematics software solutions are developed at the head office in Krombach, Germany and require low capital outlay. In 2011, the company launched the SPEDION App. This mobile, pay-per-use, modular software platform for Android devices is fully customisable with no binding contract. It is the company's most successful in-house development. The SPEDIONline web portal gives fleet operators an overview of the entire fleet with vehicle details and driver status. The SPEDION Portal App, introduced in 2014, also provides an overview of the fleet only now from any location on mobile devices running Android and also Apple iOS.
