Data usage

We collect and use personal data insofar as this is necessary to use our online presence. This data includes the name of the webpage accessed, file, date and time of the access, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system and the requesting provider.

The data collected will not be merged or combined with other data sources. However, we reserve the right to evaluate this data later if we become aware of any specific indications of its unlawful use.
We collect the data stated above in line with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR to the extent necessary for the presentation and optimisation of our website, our content and services, and the smooth operation of the device you use visiting the site.

Handling of personal data

SPEDION GmbH only processes personal data to the extent necessary to fulfil contracts, process inquiries, and for the general use of our software and services. Other legal bases for processing your data are having obtained your consent to do so or to safeguard our legitimate (business) interests—provided your rights are not negatively affected as a result.

Registration

Our website allows you to register for a trial account, and log in to our SPEDION portal.

We need your company name, first name, e-mail address, a username and password, and your phone number (optional) for the registration process. We also collect information on how you heard about SPEDION GmbH, as well as any comments you put in the comments field. Collection of this data is needed for the trial access that you requested (pre-contractual processing), and for the contractual relationship for the use of our products, in line with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

When you access our portal, we record your username, password and language preference to identify you and deliver the information you need in the language of your choice.

Support

You can reach our support team by phone or via our portal. If you send a request for support using portal.spedion.de we will receive your message and a call-back number.

To process your request and for troubleshooting, we also collect the following information: the operating system you use, the portal version, the version of your browser and JavaScript, and the BuildId, in line with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

Contact form

If you fill out and submit our contact form, your details will be stored for processing and used, for example, to answer any follow-up queries until you object to the further storage of your data with us, or the purpose of the data processing no longer applies, or the statutory retention periods ends.

Job Application

When you apply to us for a position, we use your data to assess your skills and experience, invite you to an interview, and refer it while conducting the interview. The scope of the data collected depends on the documents you submit, such as a cover letter, photo, contact details, postal address, CV, certificates and qualifications, etc. We delete your data no later than six months after the decision has been made and the position filled. With your consent, we store your data for up to twelve months.pWe do not use automated decision-making or profiling when filling a vacancy.
