"With the SPEDION app, we are now using the third generation of telematics since 1998. Based on our previous experience, the requirements for a new system had been very clearly defined. The decision in favour of the telematics application from SPEDION was based on various factors: we were convinced by the option of using tablets, the simple operation thanks to the self-explanatory system, the transparent and clear costs - including running costs - and also the flexible solutions for individual requirements. The mobile end devices in the form of commercially available tablets enable us to procure replacements immediately in the event of a failure in order to ensure the seamless use of the system. After a test phase, the entire fleet was converted; we use the complete package of modules.

The SPEDION app has reduced the amount of communication by telephone between the control centre and the driver to a minimum, without compromising the personal relationship. The system has significantly increased the flexibility of vehicle scheduling, and changes can be communicated immediately during tour processing. We use the document management feature to provide our drivers with route descriptions, instructions, tips, appointments and our own documentation on how to use the SPEDION app, which they can access at any time.
The interface to our logistics information system WINSPED ® from LIS, Greven, which has been in use since 1989, enables us to carry out complete tour processing and communication via the WINSPED® interface without any difficulties.

Requests for changes and support from the SPEDION team are responded to quickly and professionally and are implemented as quickly as possible. The volume of data provided for processing is more than enough to create transparency in many areas. All in all, it was the right decision to use the SPEDION app." – August 2015
